BOOK NOOK: Reviews and Thoughts:

just finished this series a few days ago. I adored this series so much I give the entire series 5 stars and I am so glad I completed this series before I decided to read the last book in the mortal instrument series. I adored all the book in this series but my favorite was the last one Clockwork Princess. One of my favorite thing about this series was the development of the triangle between Tessa, Will and Jem. I have said this before but I found this to be one of the strongest young adult love triangle that I have ever read. I loved the end in so many ways and it really ended so well. I did not expect the ending but I was happy the Tessa got to see happiness with both the boys in her life just at different times. In addition to the triangle I also feel in love with all the side characters. I think my favorite overall storyline was that of Sophia and Gideon and I really loved the complex development of that love story. It really captured me and I wanted to see where it went. I also really loved the development of both Charlotte and Henry. One of my favorite scenes in the entire series was the scene between them about their relationship and how they both had false conclusions. It was such a real conversation that was so cool to watch and see especially because this relationship is not the major triangle of this book. That is one thing I have always enjoyed about cassandra Clare writing in addition to creating such a cool world she also gives every character enough time to be developed and I loved that about how she writes. Sometimes I find in YA the books tend to focus on only one triangle but in her writing that is never the case and I am becoming a much bigger fan of her writing on many levels. I also am so fascinated to see how this book effects are seen or represented in the last mortal instruments book. I know that the character of Jem monk character is actually in that series and I have a theory that the ending of Clockwork princess the last chapter is actually after the end of City of Heavenly fire. I am hoping to get to that book soon so I can to book review on it first. I was finally able to make the choice of who I wanted Tessa with and I was happy it was Will for all of his life. I was also glade that she did get to spend so time with Jem. I think that Tessa overall path was so cool and I really hope we see that character again sometime in the future. I think my favorite character was Will for many reasons. I loved how complicated this character became and how much he changed throughout all the books. In the first book I saw him as hard and rough character and then in the second book I saw him a broken beyond repair and in that last book I saw him a passionate person in both love and friendship. One of the most saddest scenes was when Will realized Jem was dead. It was so sad read and made my heart hurt. This was such a good series and I can't wait to read the last book in the mortal instrument series soon!
