The midnight queen
This book was a little bit weak in my opinion for some reason the story and the way it was written just did not capture me. The premise seemed cool but the storyline was not engaging. I think the focus on the world building in this book really did detract from me enjoying the novel. I did like the characters I just felt the storyline was not engaging and felt that I want to rush through the novel.
I do like the fact that girls can't be wizards that I was cool and it has was a cool historical book but the magic and world building really did confuse me. I will still read the second one and hope that now that the world building is established it will be a stronger novel
